Alicia Valdez is a photographer and visual director working across fashion, hospitality, and experiential design, based in New York with a presence in Paris and Madrid.

Her work is rooted in atmosphere — precise, considered, and made to be felt before it is understood. Collaborating with international creative teams, she builds visual worlds with depth, intention, and point of view, translating space, light, objects, and human presence into imagery that feels authored and alive.

Her practice moves between image-making, visual direction, and spatial storytelling. Often working in analog alongside digital, she uses film to bring texture, tonal softness, and a sense of time to the environments she photographs — drawn to the charged moment before a space fully reveals its atmosphere.

Approach

Through visual direction, Alicia works to understand what a space needs to communicate, who it is speaking to, and how light, spatial rhythm, and material contrast can be shaped into a clear and resonant image system.
